Small acute social point-and-click adventure. The main character of the game is Masha, a resident of a regular town in 90th. She is a loving mother and careful wife, but her husband, full of different problems, falls down to the alcoholism and domestic abuse. Masha agrees to tolerate, but not when it is about life and health of her child, she is ready to do anything... The game is not recommended for pregnant women and very impressionable people.
I have never found myself so upset over a game, the art work was brilliant and the story line was so interesting. The only fault i have is that i dont get why someone would go to such lengths to turn off a television. However I was gripped in the story line and the ending was somewhat un-predictable, but the story wouldnt be right without it. I had myself convinced that the ending would be a happy one, but i found myself more intriuged in the story when it ended like it did, my sympathy for that women and anyone who would go through an expirience like that is raised. But somehow the credit screen just set it all off for me, I dont know how but that fact that shes lying in her bed sleepless and scared, just raises your sympathy for her. I would love for more games like this. But i do find these point click adventure games challenging, some times a bit overwhelming. But everything worked perfectly. I enjoyed this game lots and thank you for making it
I believe it is a nice try to alarm about domestic violence. BUT
The game is slow, poor development, story and plot, no realistic actions (the woman not being able to cross a street.. really?). I agree with another review about the cliche enviroment and development. I can't say I enjoyed it, I can't say it touched me, just because the game is unable to convince you. Too graphic.
Nice graphics and draws.
The Kite is rather short and a bit lacking in terms of adventure game, but the message that the author try to convey is very strong, it will hit your heart on the soft spot. The atmosphere including sounds and art styles are also perfect. I will recognise it as a great interactive story.
