The Hunted is a single-player fps game based off of the Darkplaces engine' It is completely standalone meaning you do not need any prior files to run it and it comes in a series called "Chronicles"' These "Chronicles" are used to having a continually flowing story and a difference from weaponry and other things found in-game'
Each "Chronicle" tells the story of a lone survivor escaping the city that has been overcome by the infected' The infecteds' symptoms at the time of the survivor's adventure are not clear but as the chronicles are released the story unfolds to make it quite clear as to why, where, when, and how this survivor came to be in a horror show such as this'
You play in Chronicle 3 as a lone officer whose car has careened off the road into the lower levels of Harchid, a town who has experienced it's worst heat wave since the late 30's' You will come in contact with some of the indigenous peoples of Harchid to help you on your quest to escape the lower districts and release on the world the horrors you have seen'

Congrats on the award and i cant wait
We're staying on the Darkplaces engine, but QuakeIII going open source is good news! I might port my future projects to that.
use quake 3 now since the full sourse code is out now
Looks great!
carni, your arse is going to be pwned, buttsecksage to the max :O
it just keeps lookin and gettin better and better... i haven't even finished the second one yet (but then again, maybe it would help if i had some free time to play it!) at any rate, i can't wait for this one to come out! very very awesome work on this series, very impressive... you might consider that once you get the entire series completed in making one giant game that includes all the chronicles in one continuous game... now that would be awesome and could probably even go retail... but then again, i'm just really tired and rambling on and on, so i'm sure most of this could just be ignored
This is gonna rock!!!
I'm hoping late november but I can't make any promises.
Also Raton has agreed to make the soundtrack like he did for some of THC2.
I was just about to ask you when this was coming.
