I barely give 10s to any game,
but after playing this game? ooh this game,
my god, this game is amazing and I am just speechless!
the atmosphere this game gave me, the feelings and emotions I went through playing this game, always on the edge of my seat, I can't stress enough how much I love this game.
I truly enjoyed this game. The plot is very unique and a lot of the times pretty touching and intense. I love the graphics, I love the characters and I love the fact that the game is, to a certain extent, based on your own choices.
This is a game I will remember and I recommend it to anyone that wants a creepy and challenging game in which you choose what you want the character to say and do.
10/10 - Masterpiece
I first got into this game after watching a let's ply from cry. It is an awesome game. It is dark and fun. Sometimes the cut scenes can drag for a while so if you are more of an action type of gamer you may want to get some popcorn and buckle down. I do love the story and I love the blood and gore. Please make more games like this. Thanks!
This game played with my heart strings the whole way through. I love how it has a set story, but you have little choices to make each playthrough a bit differant.
I enjoy how it's very questionable about who this "Queen of Maggots" woman is, and depending on your choices, it might even make you question if Susan has really "died" so many times or if she's really "killed" the Parasites, or if they were all metaphors for something else.
The game often makes you change your thought patterns over and over, making you think one thing one minutes, and making you think a totally differant one the next. And then when it all boils down, it's actually the option you least thought possible!
It's very easy to feel for Susan and Mitzi, to understand them. They are very believable characters, and I applaud you for choosing female protagonists, and suceeding very well with them.
I swear that the ending tore my heart out. It's sad when a character dies after all that you've been through with them. Especially when you somehow just forget that they're supposed to die because you've been distracted by all the things you went through with the character. But it's nice to see that Susan didn't give up after she lost Mitzi, and tries to be happier, and is, because of Mitzi's computer.
This game takes 2D side-scrollers to a whole new level, and this is the kind of game quality I love to see. Good 2D games are hard to come by, and this one is a pure gem. Wish I could figure out how to run it in Windowed mode, though.
This game got me when I first saw the trailer. What a weird and original game! Although the design might look a bit crappy on a first look, the collage style makes the whole game very unique and creates a deep and believable atmosphere.
Great characters, music, story, dialogues, voice acting....a game that really sucked me into its world! Every scene is full of creativity and nice little ideas like playing a cat, being blind for a short time, the flashback, the re-awakening. Although I don't like this serial killer stuff the psychological depth of the two characters made it for me!
The only thing I would complain about is the bad microphone and the saving system.
This game is a rare one, I'm really happy I've come across it. It focus on the story, dark and depressive, still beatiful and breathtaking. The quests aren't really elaborated but it doesn't matter, I see this game more like an interactive movie. The nearest analog I can think of is Fahrenheit.
Why not 10/10? The storyline has some issues with common sense. A few times it happened that characters were being just funny (even taking into account their mental state) or the laws of physics were kind of violated. But... You could say it's minor problems comparing to everything else.
In conclusion, I strongly recommend you, unknown reader, to try this game. It's unusual, mature, deep, obscure, sometimes cruel... and awesome.
