The hero fights to free a land that is controlled by seven towers, he must find each tower and slay the lost soul within. The game is played across two main types of levels. Type one is a side scrolling action based level. These levels contain plenty of monsters to fight and many sections are guarded by sub-bosses. The character has various attacks to aid his progress through these levels and in some parts can change into a wolf/beast. The second type are the main towers, these levels are vertical and are more puzzle based as the player must climb to the top, or descend to the bottom. There will still be some fighting along the way but most fights will be part of puzzles. At the end of these levels Bathoryn will have to fight and beat the tower boss before moving onto the next area and tower.

New gameplay trailer and announcement that CVB once of the great metal band Celtic Frost will be adding blood to the music of Slain!

Posted by on

Accompanying the above trailer is a sample track from Curt Victor Bryant (formally of Celtic Frost). Wolf Brew Games and Digerati are excited to announce Curt will be recording the full soundtrack for Slain!

Can the game get any more metal? Umm nope.

A gothic combat-puzzle platform adventure with gore galore. Stunning visuals and true old school gameplay accompanied by the most metal soundtrack you've ever heard. Created by a team of 2 (yes, 2!). Prepare to be Slain! PC Fall 2015, P$/V/WiiU/XB1 early January.

About Slain!

Players control Bathoryn, a hero in a Gothic world, seeking to liberate seven great towers from 7 deadly overlords.

Bathoryn must battle his way through a doomed land packed with gruesome pixel art foes before ascending (or sometimes descending) each tower, defeating puzzles, traps and monsters alike. At the heart of each tower, he must confront a mighty overlord. Defeat it and Bathoryn’s quest continues. Fail, and you’ll die gruesomely – mauled by werewolves, disintegrated by floating monstrosities, squashed by great weights or torn apart by hidden blades. And you will fail…

THx!

Patomkin actually the first one is the the petra forest where everything is turned to stone, so there is very little movement in that lvl to contrast the other levels. there will be movement in other ways tho.. but not much blowing in the wind.:) So yes its a still level, i'm glad you noticed tho!
