The time has come to launch Syder Arcade HD on mobile platforms!
Studio Evil and Alisade Warp Industries will be happy to teleport the game directly into your iOS and Android devices starting January 28, for a small fee of 0.99$ or equivalent credits in your galactic region.

Our retro-inspired shmup is a simple game, just shoot aliens and be awesome in space with bullets made of neon. But remember to avoid glowing stuff that is not coming from your ship.

Syder Arcade has no grind, no player exploiting multi-layered upgrade systems, no IAPs. Just 6 levels of fast paced challenge, featuring beautiful visuals and retro-electronic soundtack.

We are really excitet about this release, it's our first official mobile game ... but most of all now that the mobile version is ready we can finally get some rest.

Who am I kidding.

We've got new content on the way and an OUYA version to build :D

This is just a simple question: Wasn't the game going to have an extra ship when it reached 1300 sales back in November on IndieGameStand?

I bought the game from there, and doesn't seem to have a different installer or extra file in the files download section, there and here.

Yes. And It's coming. We have still to release the update.
I'm sorry about that, this delay really sucks.
These last months were kind of a mess here at the studio, we are a 4 people team and got a little bit overwhelmed by a chain of events.

But, we will fix this ... soon-ish.

Hi, I quite like the game. Graphics were a lot better than what I expected; the starry backgrounds are really beautiful. I quite liked a few of the songs as well.

Two suggestions:

1. When pressing a button during the tallying of your score at the end, make it skip to showing your final score, rather than going straight to game over. I don't feel like waiting for it to count everything every time, and when I press enter to skip it I need to submit my score online and see where it put me to see what my actual final score was. Also, when submitting my score, maybe remember what I entered my name as from last time, so I don't need to enter it again every time.

2. After failing a mission, give a menu with options like to retry or change ship or something like that. I spent a while playing the survival mode, but I really wished that there was a retry button when I died to go straight back into the action, rather than every time having to go to the main menu, then choosing survival mode again, choosing a ship again, then the intro thing, then showing the controls to me again, etc...

Oh and a bug fix:
After choosing your ship, if you keep pressing X again it keeps making the sound that it makes when you choose a ship. Only need to play the sound once.

I'm pretty sure Amiga's graphics weren't that much better than my commodore 64's ... but, they were much better. Great game - glad i bought it!

We cheated a little bit, C64 filter is the barebone palette of the first games, while the amiga filter is Amiga HAM :D
