I made a quick bugfix release. These bugs are pretty annoying, so I would suggest you download it. Here's some gifs to entice you!

Play the Web version on Kongregate

GAME OVER MANGAME OVER MANGAME OVER MANTrue Doom Murderhead

== 1.3.1 CHANGELIST (Mar 16 2013) ====Bugfixes only... but important bugfixes!

  • Fix : A bug in joystick detection code made it so that keyboard-controlled co-op players would always attack towards the mouse pointer if no joysticks were connected
  • Fix : Elite enemies (depth 5 and lower) were much less elite than intended. They now have x2 the hitpoints and do x2 the damage of normal enemies.
  • Fix : If a new player joins mid-game, they will no longer join unarmed.
  • Fix : Origin of bullets for special attacks would sometimes be in the completely wrong direction.

Hey man, huge roguelike fan here... loving the game and all the ideas behind it! It's kind of my 'dream'game - a mashup of roguelikes and Dynasty Warriors (but more challenging than DW and with nice flourishes of the SWOOOORD xD and stuff).

Two minor complaints. One, I don't have an XBOX360 controller. Could you use computer notation (e.g. Button 1) or PlayStation notation (X, O, et al)? I have a cheap PS2/USB controller from Trust, the hardware manufacturer. Most gamepads that connect via USB actually use PlayStation notation.

Additionally, I found myself a bit better with the gamepad than mouse and keyboard and the handicap of co-operative is pretty extreme for when you are playing alone. Could you please support the gamepad in single-player mode? I would also like to be able to start the game without having to lean and press the spacebar.

Thanks! I love your game, please work on it more. You released 5 games this year - just remember, quality > quantity. If you decide to give up on it you could open source it since it is already free of charge - you never know, someone may pick it up (and it will get more press in the Linux world!). Again, great game, keep up the great work.

Idiot me! Meant an HID controller, like my cheapo trust. And make sure it work with Linux, I'm not sure how Unity handles low level stuff like input (I'm on holidays right now and my family's laptop has Windows). Regards.
