My Realistic Armour Mod updates the SWAT's and Terrorist's body armour to a more,
reallistic effect. Unlike some other Armour Mods, no offence but it made
Kevlar-Coated characters totally invincible to Round Nose bullets (ie, 9mm, .45). So
this mod cures all that by that RN bullets won't penetrate armour, but you'll still
be bruised, softened, or whatever, and so you can be pelted with so many rounds before
you do go down. I haven't tried it singleplayer, so I don't know if they can die instead
of going down.
Also, added gore! I suppose totally unrealistic, but I think they make the game better.
This gore may sicken some audiences. For the first time ever, GIBS!!! Well, 2D. Read

Also, now there is a "role-playing" element, where getting shot by a 9mm would do less
damage then a .45, but you would lose more skill. And in some cases, the 5.45X39 (AK74)HP

What does this fantastic mod do???

To Install: Place the entire Zip file in the Mods folder in your SWAT 3 directory.
To Activate: Go to the SWAT Mod selector, and check it/tick it.
Stuff you should know.
Also, Some people have the crazy idea that buckshot (shotgun pellet shells) can penetrate
armour! Shame on them, because those pellets can't penetrate, they'll just bounce
off! But it would hurt alot. Anyway, even though RN bullets can't penetrate armour,
they would still soften up your insides, because the velocity counts, 9mm bullets will
hurt more than .45, because they have a higher velocity, and so will cause more harm
to Armoured personnel. But I guess you all know that, don't you?
Did you know you're more likely to die if you have armour? They'll go for the unprotected
head, or use .223 and high calibres!
I tried to have a balance for each round, ie, 9mm would be less powerful than .45, but
more skill is lost, and also people would go down more rather than die. I would test out
the mod by creating a LAN game with someone else and use them as a shooting target. Also,
my new "Hostage Hunt" idea is a great way to test out damages, heh heh heh...
By the way, on the headshot exit wound, that's their brains hanging out, and the stomach
shot, their intestines hanging out. Eew! Also, you can see a glimer in some of the wounds.
When you turn around, the wound appears to glimmer. Fantastic! And that white stuff? That's
not maggots, that's pieces of bone sticking out!
Known issues and, er, bugs...
Some of the bullet holes don't seem to show up (exit decals and some entry decals when
penetrating some materials). I have no idea why. So that is why sometimes the penetration
may seem alittle dodgy. I had to test on a few team mates... Anyway, if you know how to fix
this, let me know.
When you shoot NPCs, sometimes a wound will appear in their stomachs. This is somthing to
do with the SWAT 3 engine or so. Just to let you know.
Shotguns... ahhh. How come noone ever uses them in multiplayer? Anyway, it takes 3-4 shots
to the kevlar-coated torso to bring down an enemy/team mate. Here's a tip: shoot them in the
limbs. It takes 1-2 then. Remember the crotch shot: it's highly affective, hee hee! What's
more funny than your enemy walking around with a big wound on his/her crotch?
I haven't played Soldier Of Fortune 2 yet, so I wouldn't know if my gore is anywhere near it.
Also, it appears to be hard to get my long-created stomach wound to appear. When you shoot them
in the stomach, another wound might appear. But sometimes the stomach shot appears, so admire
the loose intestines while you can: people usually fall over the front. When someone falls over
backwards, take advantage if this and keep shooting them in the stomach. Hang on a minute - I've
made SWAT 3 from a life saving force to a ruthless, SOF clone!
I've replaced the spark sprite in SWAT 3 to a custom gibs sprite, so if another mod uses this,
prepare for weird effects! Also, the gibs WILL dissappear in a short time. I don't know how to
make them stay longer, so they might dissappear in mid air! Well, I geuss it would make the game
more faster if they dissapeared... but I want them to stay a while! At least a minute... so if
you know how to fix it, let me know.
Also, there are some intestine gibs there, but they looked rubbish as gibs because they span too
slow and when they hit the floor, still had blood swining around. Also, I tried to create blood
bursts when you hit people, they're labeled "Kersplat". If you know how to make it so these show
up when you hit people and stay there for about 2 seconds in the air, let me know.

First of all, this started out as a normal armour mod. I used trial and error, as always the most
effective way to get a mod right. Then I thought, myabe I could add something. It's still not so
fun shooting each other. Then it struck me: people have always wanted more gore for SWAT 3. So I
set to work. Using Photoshop, I then started what was a few wounds and blood effects, then it grew
to animated wounds, blood spurts, and gibs! The gibs started out as a bug: I tried to make blood
bursts when you shoot someone, but it kept showing sparks, the sprite used for missing sprites and
models. After a while, I was almost getting extremely pissed at this, but suddenly it hit me, like
a .223 against LVIIA Kevlar, hey! These sparks bounce of the floor, and they act just like... just
like gibs. A smile grew across my face. Well, that's a true story. If it wasn't for that error ,I
wouldn't have made gibs for SWAT 3! They even spin in the air! To summon it all up - "Realistic armour
with added gore - bones stick out of flesh, blood slowly dribbles down, exit wounds, hanging intestines,
loose brain parts, wet looking insides, plus lots of gibs which spin around in the air and bounce of
the floor... totally fantastic".

V0.5- Fixed a bug where you're health meter would show almost dead when you were hit
by RN bullets.
V0.9- Fixed a bug where buckshot was useless and didn't hurt them.
V1.0- Fixed a number of bugs, I can't remember. Added more reallistic damage, so that
getting shot in the hand will lower skill more and they won't go down, unless you pump
their hands by the clip full! Added support for other calibres for other mods.
V2.0- Made people with Kevlar no longer immune to RN bullets and buckshot, so you will
still go down after emptying a clip into them, and a buckshot at point blank is devestating.
Added more skill lost when shot in right hand. Added gore! And lots of it! First public release.

More, more gore! Gibs won't dissapear for a while! Blood bursts, and new menu graphics, with
the big red fifteen! And possibly more! In order for these too work out properly, could anyone
help me out how to make blood bursts when you shoot people (sprite "kersplat"), how to make
the gibs spin faster and stay longer in the world, and how to have the same properties as
the spark sprites, but not replace them. ANY help would be gladly appreciated.
