Survive! is a multiplayer first-person shooter in the spirit of "Serious Sam", but with creative building using wooden crates. Bloody, but cartoonish. You and the other players are trapped in a remote desert and are being attacked by waves of monsters. You need to pile up crates and react fast to defend yourself. The game can be played with 1 to 8 players, the difficulty will be adapted automatically.

Server list fixed

At some point in the last months, the server list (which is an integral part to this game) broke and just wouldn't show any newly opened servers. I really don't know when this happend, but it may have been connected to an update to the central servers I did last year. I'm really sorry about this!

Future development plans

As some of you may have noticed, there hasn't been a new version for more than a year. I hardly found time to work on the game, partly during private life and also because of another game project I'm currently working on.
However, there are still a lot of plans I have for this game. The problem is that I don't really know when I'll be able to implement them. I'll try to keep you a little more updated from now on, but I can't really give you a definite date for a next Alpha version, sorry.

Is there a way to fix the strange mouse behaviour? (quick movement = slow turn , slow movement = quick turn)

hi ghulius,
thank you for reporting. I never noticed this, but I'm going to look into it.
It might be an engine restriction though.
Is survive behaving very different from other first person games in mouse movement?

I got it working and it is one of the best games I've played in a long time, I hope that development continues and that it can reach it's full potential!

Thank you for the kind words!

We are having only very little free time currently, so the development has stalled within the last weeks. I really don't want this game to die and I'm hoping to continue working next month.

Don`t know if this is a problem with Windows 7 (i tried compability mode and it failed, tried running it on Admin - failed). Can you fix it? Thanks.

Another user had the same problem, there is one possible reason:
You have "data execution prevention" activated for all programs. In that case Survive! will crash when it tries to compile the shader effects.

Here is an official microsoft site guiding you through the steps to disable it for a single program. You can also set it to "Only enabled for important services (or similar)", that is no security issue either.

Thank you for reporting, this sometimes happens when there is something wrong with the server list.
You'll have to try again an hour later or something.
And if you have problems with a resolution, just delete the "options.cfg" file and your settings are reset.

Hey. I got idea to game. What about an vendor, who will be in 1 point of map, and you can spend points for money. Like Assault Rifle = 5000 Points.
+ Medic Class and Sniper I would be graceful.
