Can't believe that I'm playing Asteroids again, 30 years after I first played it. It even has the same graphics. The game is irritating though: an uncontrollable ship with an unreliable gun. Admittedly these things can be upgraded but I honestly don't need to play the same game I played 3 decades ago, especially with the same graphics.
It takes 5 minutes to take piece in the heart of an old gunner !
Maybe the graphics could be fit for a higher resolution than 1024...
the original asteroid in former times was much to heavy to control the shippy thing. this one is just right for grizzlys over 50
Classic asteriods, with a lonely modern veneer. The in-world tips and notifications about, enemies, ship insurance and escape pods are interesting and the clever save system means you can move forward and try for a high score at the same time. Great crunchy sound effects too.
Asteroids with actual progression? Pretty well done, actually.
Solid arcade fun with nice progression.
