Super Amazing Wagon Adventure is a 2D action game with a random crazy story! You control a group of three migrating west on a wagon trail. The game consists of short 3-30 second long scenes that are sequenced together in a semi-random way, so you never know what dangers you will face. Battle buffalo, wolves, bandits, bears, giant spiders, aliens, and much more!
An excellent game with great replayability. (I know, that's not a real word.) Different every time you play, and the death messages are hilarious! It's fun to watch other people play too, and laugh at them when they die. The survival modes are tough but I do love me some piranhas and I'm a sucker for gold stars.
For such a simple game, SAWA manages to be more fun than most other games I have ever played. As such there is very little new in the game, but it's feel just further emphasizes the FUN aspects. In fact, nothing in the game takes away from the fun. It combines the laid-back comedic feel of flash games, which makes it easy to pick up and play again and again, while combining the High-score death-is-fun randomization from roguelikes that make you addicted to a game.
Now I just hope for a Linux port someday so I can replay it after my migration.
This affectionate parody is a load of fun to play. The randomness makes sure you have a different experience every time. This randomness also makes sure the game stays funny even making multiple attempts to beat the game. It is also funny to watch your friends die in ways that would never happen on the Oregon Trail game.
