Submerge is a fast paced, tactical survival game with main focus on thrilling multiplayer matches. It combines the players passion for Hero Units from "Dota" with the beloved tactical fighting and moving behaviors from Starcraft - but without any waiting times for matches to begin!

Follow us on:
Players fight other players with their customized army to steal "life time" points from each other to survive longer than everybody else in the game. In the meta-game the players can unlock, upgrade and choose the right troop types for the next match.
Use this chance to support a highly innovative tactic game. No other strategy game allows you to connect in a running session without having some huge disadvantages ingame.

So, last time we talked about how we adapt the vision from our moodboard into the level design. There was some pretty technical stuff going on in the article, and I thought - maybe you’d like to see how this will look now that we started implementing it.

What has changed compared to the first impression of the level:

  • Lava has been removed to give the deep sea canyons a darker, more mystical glow
  • Sunken cities and streets fill the level
  • Fish are roaming the cities (nasty little biters)
  • Glowing plants light up the area

Remember our newsentry about the different movement types?
We got a lot of great feedback from you and decided to create a new prototype with some of the ideas you shared with us. Stay tuned as we will show a video of the new version in the next dev blog.

Also, I’d love to show you more videos from the development process just to break up the text-heavy posts a little – what would you like to see? Some sort of time-lapse from our concepts? The Asset workflow? Development with Unreal? Or just tell me if there is anything you’re sick of seeing, I’ll try avoiding that. Or how about an insanely long post about time tracking with jira?

Hey guys
Game looks great in its Alpha form so far
Just a few questions:
A). I'm guessing that there are now two factions in the game: (or conceptual)- The Humans and the Deep Ones
B). So for humans are we likely to see Battlesuits, Underwater Tanks and Submarines because I love where this game is going and I'm gonna vote on Greenlight
Looking forward to it

Wow, I took one look at a screenshot and Submarine Titans came to mind. I remember playing that game many years ago and drooling at the graphical effects and details. I love it when indie developers have the balls to try something new or to revive a cult classic game instead of just settling into copying the latest hits on the market.

Well done guys. I will follow this!
