Stunt Rally 2.1 is released and after neglecting to update Desura for too long, it's now also available here. For some pretty pictures, visit the gallery at

The changelog for this one is the longest ever! You can check it out in full at (there are also the changes from previous releases that were not uploaded to Desura).

Contentwise, there's lots of new tracks and cars. The most awesome gameplay additions in my opinion are a prerecorded ghost on all tracks, a beam to guide you to the next checkpoint and a first version of a car damage system. On the graphical side, brake lights now have flares, there's an adaptive FOV effect when boosting and the GUI has received some improvements. Under the hood we have a new input implementation and simulation tweaks and then there's numerous editor improvements, bug fixes and whatnot.

Feel free to take it for a spin and give feedback so that we can make the next version even better.

Honestly, the mapping is awsome. But, the controlls are awful. When I turn just alittle to the left it turns 180 degrees. Other then that, awesome game 7/10

You can lower the input sensitivity for all controls in the input options. But if you're already having trouble with the default, you're probably better off using a game controller/joystick.

Am I doing something wrong? The game is nearly unplayable. You can't go around a corner without spinning, you can't make a jump without flipping the car, gravity is like ... moon gravity and physics overall VERY wonky. It's not fun and feels sooo unrealistic.

Looks really nice. Having some trouble with the steering for my pseudo xbox controller, i.e it doesn't work. Can map acceleration and braking though. Might just be my controller ofc. Or i missed something in the settings.

Have you selected the correct axis type? (Press the ">" button for detailed control settings and set the type of axis, e.g. full axis, half axis, half axis inverted)

Very fun game! Still in progress, but lots of improvements with every release. Great graphics, crazy physics and fun stunts :D
