Hello everyone! It is me, Jason(TGamer). I have decided to write an article here on IndieDB about the huge change coming to Dark Revolver Games. First off, what I think is the most important piece of this article...

I will not be programming anymore, nor leading Dark Revolver Games.
This is happening for a number of reasons. First off, I have lost interest in programming in general, not just programming games. Second, I have a not-so-new passion I will be following instead. Allow me to explain.

My entire life I wanted to do one thing: Entertain People with stories I tell. Of course, I didn't want to read stories to people, that's just a silly way to spend my life (just my opinion). I wanted to tell stories through media and forms of electronic entertainment. My FIRST way of wanting to do this is through videos (skits/short films/etc.). Unfortunately, this was impossible because I could not afford a decent camera or equipment due to financial problems within my family. I did have a cheap computer though, so that is when I started up my SECOND way of telling stories: Through video games. I wanted to develop games that not only told the stories I have created, but also were fun to play. I didn't get far due to lack of knowledge and experience, but I did make a few moderately fun games over time, most of which are posted on this site! Anyways, I realized that programming just hasn't been my cup of tea over the last few years, so I am transitioning back to my first form of entertainment. I now have the money for a very nice camera and equipment to go along with it. I will be making short films and skits and all that starting this summer on my new YouTube channel JasonFilmsStuff.

Unfortunately I no longer possess the will to continue programming, but I still have a strong passion for gaming and writing stories, which is why I will NOT be leaving Dark Revolver Games! I will still help the group with writing storylines, as well as game mechanics/design. The NEW lead of Dark Revolver Games now rests with my good friend Cameron Rothrock (YellowGamerHat) whom I have worked with over the past few months. He is a great guy and I'm sure he will take the group where he thinks it would be best (I know he has a lot of changes he plans to make!).

Now, there is another question that I will be answering to block any confusion: YES, Steven's Adventure 2 will still be developed solely by me!

I want this to be my last game (that I program), and I want to make it pretty good. This project will not involve the other group members for a number of reasons that I will not be mentioning here. Cameron will have the rights of the other three games posted on the Dark Revolver Games page, but I want Steven's Adventure 2 to be made mainly by me, as it will be something I want to be proud of.

That is all I wanted to tell about the company, and I hope they continue to make awesome games!!

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you guys understand my situation.

There is one big issue that needs to be addressed and smaller things to make the game better. The big issue is when I was ready to quit playing, I was unable. I hit escape and it took me to the screen with the tiles flowing by, I saved my game and looked around for a button to quit, there was none. I spent 5-10 min trying different methods to quit the game to no avail. I ultimately had to restart my computer. Now for the fixes. I think you should change the backgrounds between levels instead of the same cloud. Also let the player know that he can jump on enemies to kill them. Also, a mid way check point would be nice so you don't have to start the whole level over.

Ok! Thank you for the information. I will look into that big issue that you are currently having. Also, all levels do not have the same background. After you get past the level with the giant enemies (sorry for spoiler), the background will change. And I will inform the player that killing enemies is possible. I will look into the checkpoint feature. Thank you for letting me know!!
