Hey all, just a little preview before the first update! I am Neronix, I will be your host for when it comes to incredibly long posts as I cant seem to shut up half the time :D This little pre-update is just to keep the page up to date weekly as much as possible, the following is just a little summary of what will be in the larger update sometime next week.
First off is the website, its in-progress and will contain all the info you could possibly need to know on the game, like the engine, game mechanics, stuff in the game and plenty of screenshots. There will also be videos when we eventually get to the stage where the game is in a alpha form (playable but buggy).
The next update will contain info on a full list of game mechanics and might just link to the website for a better layout of the info as no HTML can be done here. To answer a couple of questions for now though...
We are currently in the process of adapting the games mechanics and game play to fit in the Unreal Engine, the images currently on this page are of the previous build of the game which was going to be 2D and based in the XNA Game Studio engine, which became silly after removing a couple of the originally proposed features. The only image this is still being used will be the logo, that logo will be permanent as it was mostly made by accident playing around in Photoshop with some of the fancy features and we think it looks perfect for it.
Finally I will be releasing over the weekend of some images of models from the game in-engine to show we are actually making progress on the game, it will be a rather large game and could be up to and over a year before it is totally finished so keep an eye out on the website once it is up for the best source of information. The majority of the next update will be in-depth details of some of the games mechanics which will be making it unique in the current indie game market!
