We are growing really close to our next big release. However, in the meantime we hope you can try out our new menu system.

You will probably notice many of the design decisions we are planning to take with the game. StarForge will be a very deep game, but we are also building it to be very intuitive and easy to get into. I'll make a blog post about the design behind some of the more interesting pages in the near future. Also keep in mind that this is an early build and we understand there are some bugs or duplicated images used as placeholders.

Right now the only improvement I could really think of is a smoother tool-switching method. I for one have difficulty keeping track of the hotkeys. Perhaps you could add a sidebar which shows the different tools and the player could scroll between them? (By tools I mean the rifle, dig function, etc.) Other than that, everything seems to work well.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys! Were definitely not dead, just working hard on the base tech and design which takes a while but needs to be done.

We plan to probably allow the player to visualize the hotkeys on the HUD should he choose. But this probably won't be from default as were trying to keep as much off the screen as possible. :)
