Hey guys, So this Week @ Code}{atch, things have been fairly relaxed, compared to the previous week.  We've created some front-end changes in the game and have added a compass, harvestable plants, and a couple of creatures into the game.  

The compass is featured at the bottom of the screen, and shows one the location of the world spire, enemies, npcs and other players.

It shifts around on the screen and now allows players to find their way to beacons, other players and orient themselves around landmarks such as the Spire. 

Next up, we've got a mean new creature that moves fast, bites you fiercely and generally makes you hate life.  Introducing, the Prowler:

Prowler

It's pretty ferocious! It can run quite fast, it has hardy amounts of armor, and its only weakness is bullets.  Lot's of 'em.  So if you're under-prepared or early-on when you meet this guy, just run the other way.  Also, we've added a new animal of prey, that moves quickly and effectively, and drops a slightly different configuration of loot.  

Beedle

It's an non-aggressive class NPC, and skitters across the ground rapidly on its two fore-legs.  It can be a challenge to catch up too, and possibly lead to some nasty predators.  

The rest of the week has been spent fixing up bugs and tidying up the netcode.  We've also changed some development methods around, in the hopes of being able to add features more robustly.

After playing I have a couple suggestions, View Distance (It might improve performance). Basically if you get far enough from objects they become a low res texture, as in when you would get closer they would become more detailed as their original state. Meaning those unnecessary polygons on the blocks you cant see from far away well would become completely flat. (Take the stone brick for instance). I do believe this would improve performance in case you tend to build a lot, and have higher structures.

And also - Some kind of flying creature that could swoop down and pick you up then throw you in the air. (Can also spit acid to damage turrets)

was just playing v.1.1 again and i noticed when the music stopped playing i could hear the wind blowing against my headset like the wind was blowing on my ears. thats awesome. little things like this make great games the best games. (for instance gta4 flying through windscreens when crashing) great job guys! also i found it hard to jump down a hole of 1 square but easy down a 2x2 hole. will this be fixed?

Pretty good map, i made it to the top, i was expecting more on the top xD a sanctuary or something but after playing a bit i noticed something weird....is this normal?
