A spin-off of Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy allows players to create their own Jedi, train in the Academy under the tutelage of Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn and ultimately choose to follow the path of the Light Side or the Dark Side of the Force. The game is powered by the same version of the Quake III engine used in its predecessor, Jedi Outcast, containing modifications to the Quake code to give a third-person view and new lightsaber effects (Jedi Knight II had these 3rd person effects as well). Players have the ability to construct their own lightsaber by choosing the hilt style and blade color. After completing certain objectives, new saber styles become available.

Changes From Jedi Outcast to Jedi Academy

  • Your character, Jaden, can be male or female and is customizable. For example, you can choose from several lightsaber colors and hilt types as well as from several species:
  • - Twi'lek female
    - Kel Dor male
    - Human male or female
    - Zabrak female
    - Rodian male

  • New Force Powers in single player; Force Absorb, Force Protect, Force Drain, and Force Rage (these powers were available in Jedi Outcast's multiplayer game, but not in the single player game.)
  • New lightsaber combat moves including katas, wall gripping, and acrobatics.
  • Four new weapons: DL-44 Blaster Pistol and Stouker Concussion Rifle, Saberstaff (double bladed lightsaber) and dual sabers. A variety of saber hilts are also available.
  • New vehicles and vehicle-based levels, including Tauntauns and speeder bikes.
  • Power Duel mode: Players join as an individual or as a team of two. The individual has more health and Force power in exchange for being at a disadvantage in numbers.
  • Siege Mode: Players work to complete goals and stop the other team from completing their goals.
  • AI NPCs (not just bots, as before) in Multiplayer.
  • Decreased limitations on world objects in Multiplayer, enhancing modding possibilities (and making coop play theoretically possible).
  • Various bugfixes, gameplay tweaks and subtle changes (especially to the Multiplayer component).
  • Enhanced rendering of the Quake III: Team Arena engine, including dynamic glow features.
  • Removal of the First Person Lightsaber view that can be found in both Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast.

Hi my name is Kazoks

I want to start new mod about strom-troopers. where you are an imperial and fight against rebel scums.

1) The main idea is: you start mission in the Star destroyer (like KOTOR or SWTOR).
2) you could fight in rebel planets (Yavin, Balmora, Hoth, Orion IV, Sulustus and Mon Cala).
3) The main enemies could be Rebel Alliance and Jedi (Skywalker, Katarn and other).

The problem is that i am not very good at modding. At the moment i am trying to create Star Destroyer interior.

I also need more enemies for this mod: rebel soldiers, pilots, terrorists, spec-units and rebel alien species.

I am thinking about rebel tank and other stuff.

All the help are well come. This is my first mod ever:D

Need real help for this mod, cant do it alone.

At the moment i am working on star destroyer( siege SD map) and i have two choices:

1) create SD with lifts.

2) create SD with portals (like in endora battle mod).

Victory cross section

Since Lucas Files is down I can't find Hapslash's improved stormtrooper anywhere. The one on JKfiles is actually for JKO and the StOfficer skin doesn't work, does anyone know somewhere else I can download it?

Hey, I rescripted Jedi Outcast so you can play its missions on Academy, I was wondering if it would be ok to release those scripts. I'm afraid Lucas Arts might not like that.

Go ahead and release the scripts both games can be modded so I don't see what would be wrong with it.

Hi just wanted to let all those Battlefront fans know that there is a page on facebook with 5,500 likes called "Who Else Wants Star Wars Battlefront III ?" The aim is to get Lucasarts to notice what fans actually want. If you wish to show your support simply log onto Facebook and go to the page and click Like.

Gaming websites have taken notice and even written articles so Lucasarts can see and every like that the page gets is another step towards Battlefront 3 being developed.

Thanks :)

I know but Lucasarts can hand over or create a new Battlefront 3 with a different gaming company. If they see we want it and they can gain enough from making it then i am sure they will see sense.
