The idea

I have a project that I need help with. I want to create a FULL Halo mod, something FoC is missing. I will need people that know how to mod FoC already and know a little bit about Halo. The mod will take place during Halo 4.I will not be able to actually do much other than page management and community updates since I'm still early into learning XML coding and don't have time to actually keep learning it.

  • Circinius IV

  • Custom sounds would be added along with all Hero's in the Halo lore.
  • The Covenant would also have an ability to glass a planet, much like using the Death Star, it would "destroy the planet" but only be usable when their mothership is in orbit.
  • The UNSC would be challenging to play as since they're no match for the Covenant plasma weapons, much like in the lore. You would need to be strategic to beat the alien Bast***s!
  • The flood would be a mix of Human and Covenant ships in space but would have spores all over parts of the ship.

I like a little personal touch to any game, naming warships is a good step towards that.

the process is as i understand it a simple notepad .txt file with names and things in it, stored in Gamedata folder, that attatches names in quotes to each ship: EG: "Alliance" "Vengeance" "Luna" and "Origin"

it would be FANTASTIC if this would be applied to any ship above Frigates (destroyers, Cruisers, Battlecruisers, Battleships and such like but NOT to unique ships or hero units). its merely a suggestion for the player to allow a little personal touch to their gameplay.

With the help of Locutus from the Pegasus Chronicles mod, I've figured out how to do this, and I've submitted a tutorial guide to ModDB on it. It's currently awaiting authorisation, but check back in a day or so and it should be up.
