Capturing the drama and epic conflict of Star Wards, Battlefront II brings the fight online. Attention to detail and scale make this game a joy to behold, with 16 incredible new battlefronts such as Utapau, Mustafar and the space above Coruscant, as well as the Death Star interior and Tantive IV, Princess Leia's blockade runner seen at the beginning of the original Star Wars.
I've been spending some time making EoW's new HUD design. I haven't completed it yet, but I've gotten some important elements in place already. So far I've done the energy bar, shield/armor bar, ammo clip, target health bar, target name, reticule, hit markers, and the health bar... which has been giving me some issues. So what is done now gives a pretty good idea of what the HUD will look like. Here's an image and a video of the recent progress:
The strategy system has been coming to life with its first dynamic, the waypoint. Accessible through the strategy menu, players will be able to guide their troops to certain locations on the map. These locations will appear on the menu's mini-map, and they are activated on click. You can only guide your troops to one waypoint at a time, but you have the option to adjust the waypoint weight. The system is functional right now, but the menu needs work to enable all its features. Enlarged waypoint symbol:
