In 1986, the world's worst nuclear disaster occurred at the Chernobyl power station. Soviet authorities established a 30km 'Exclusion Zone' around this nuclear wasteland, but in 2006 a second explosion rocked the stricken reactor, obliterating all living things and causing the Zone's boundaries to ripple outwards. From this epicenter came waves of mutated creatures, deadly radiation, and a strange, anomalous energy. The Zone was cordoned off by the military, who would shoot on sight anyone foolish enough to brave the horrors within.

really made me wanna play the game! it adds a whole new feel to the game alot more tactical not just run n gun! (playing on master difficulty)

Hmmm, I actually liked the more "classic" feel of STALKER. Never really did understand the fascination with "tactical" FPS.

Before installing this add on, I installed the STALKER Faiakes v1.4 add on. The add on works, but when I install the Realistic add on, it conflicts with the previous add on were both don't even work. Is there a work around this issue?

Realism Mod 0.9.1.1

Whats new:

- Artifacts more difficult to find (removed jumping, sparkling, shining). Instead ?hot air effect and some new cosmetic changes added. Fixed prices and properties. (Thx SoCR, Ra7)
- TOZ weapon now can be bought from Sidorovich
- Weapon do not removing forcibly now. (Thx Ra7)
- Changed sound of night-goggle.
- Properties of RGD5 and F1 changed (now as in real life). (Thx Samurai69, Ra7)
- Reduced weight of parts of creatures, changed prices depends on rarity. (Thx Ra7)
- NPC now taking and using weapon if it better than they have. Load a weapon before giving it to NPC! (Thx Ra7)
- Few repetitive phrases of NPCs are removed.
