The next milestone has almost been reached with just a few bugs to squish, a weapon to add and two new armours on their way. So far I've added:
- Looting of corpses
- Keys and locked doors
- Basic party mechanics with a GUI and the ability to view each members stats and inventory (plus drop and equip stuff)
- Death sprites that differ dependent on how the avatar died.
- Default sprite if there is no armour equipped. If a corpse is looted of its armour the sprite will also reflect that.
- Rewrote how weapons are fired and reloaded so it can apply to all NPCs, party members and enemies when combat is implemented (over the next 6 weeks)
Onward now to the shotgun, hyper-kevlar and new secret surprise armour (so secret even I haven't decided what it is yet!).
Next week will also be the first time the artist (Anthony) and I get together to work in the same room - so hopefully by the end of next week some things will be looking sharper and cleaner and prettier.
