Spacebit is an indie game currently released to a growing community while we improve and add features to Spacebit. Spacebit is an amazing survival game which has many unique unheard of features in a survival game, including buffing and debuffing, spaceship creation, cattle stealing, and ability to build your own army.

Did you ever want to build a spaceship to search for new planets or die trying in the deep void of space? Well, in SpaceBit that's what its all about. You can dig down into the ground and dig into caves. The exploration of planets, asteroids or even suns is totaly up to you. The universe is randomly generated when you start a new game so there's always a chance to start a new world and still have the feeling of being lost while trying to survive.

In Spacebit, you will, in the future, be able to construct vehicles, build buildings, train armies, make items and remedy potions from materials you find all over the universe.

Spacebit will offer great visuals and physics including Strategy army management which allows you to build and maintain a collection of your own custom made spaceships to control through AI, as well as some ground build-able units which help you gather and farm resources.

Build your galaxy, control it and dominate with it online.

Tell your friends about Spacebit! You can get a headstart by buying it now and building your planet to your desire. Multiplayer and spaceship creation isn't far away. Soon, you'll be able to invade your friend's planets to steal their resources, abduct their cattle, destroy their buildings... Or you can just broker an alliance and live peacefully.... The choice is entirely up to you!

We have found a new 2D artist and will have more news of him during this week. Bert, our music composer has been working hard on new media for the background and main menu. Bram has been working hard on the menu art as well as the trailer/intro. Jeno has been busy working hard on the item icons, check the new art out in the compilation image!

And i've also been working on a side project we called Arena. Check it out over here: http://www.moddb.com/games/arena1 Ben has been programming multiplayer and is right now focusing on liquids once again. To be honest, while I understand the game is in alpha still, the description DOES give the idea away the game is fully playable, in some respects. And you have the game listed as released. :P

I have a problem. I bought it at Indievania and downloaded that updater and then ran it. It updated to 0.89 (window title at the beginning still showing 0.84 I think but the background image of the main menu showing 0.89). At your website I read there was already 0.9 or 0.94. Also I had a bug. Posted at that forums at your website.

Hey lordmd i replied to your post on the forum its a issue with the music volume or sound effects volume i'll also post how to fix this here go to Content/Files/Game/settings.txt

When you open settings.txt you get something like

Window Mode
800 x 600
0
English
0.9642857
0.9642857
W
S
A
D
LeftShift
E
R
T

Under English change both 0.9642857 values to 1 let me know if this solved your issue.

I need to update the Spacebit Updater to 0.9 only Desura is currently 0.9, let me know if this fix's your problem also.

Okay thank you. That fixed the problem. Had some other values with like 0.2 instead of 0.9 but from the layout of the file and what you posted above it seems that were the correct ones. Set them to 1 and no error message before intro and after intro correctly loading the main menu screen.

I didn't mean to impose on you to rush out an update with the maps or anything. Like I made a mention to, I had no regrets buying the game and supporting your efforts in making such a unique game in a genre flooded with zombie survival games. I just wanted to confirm, and make sure that I wasn't just being stupid and missing something. I admit my second post was far too harsh, and I apologize.

I was, and still am, more than willing to wait out all of your work until the game has that generation. I'm a programmer myself, so I can understand the fine quirks of all that you do. With that said, it also means I absolutely hate level designing, so I didn't want to use the level designer. That's just my own little thing though.

Maybe I shouldn't like this game so much. I give it 10 for potential and the daily updates if you bought from the dev's site (via the handy updater program). It just feels so good to play even though I'm not very good at surviving. One suggestion to devs is that objects be added to existing slots - for example, if I have dirt moved down to my quick slots, then any new dirt I dig up should be added to the existing dirt in the quick slot until it is full before going in a new inventory slot. Otherwise…
