Son of Nor, the game with telekinesis and terraforming will support eye-tracking tech to make you feel like you're really doing the magic!

We’re very excited to announce a special partnership today. Maybe you’ve heard that SteelSeries and Tobii are releasing a revolutionary eye-tracking device. Revolutionary because it’s the first time a device like this will be available for the consumer market.

As a young game development company, we are fascinated by and excited about technology that would not have been possible only two years ago. And today, we’re experimenting with the Oculus Rift and the emotiv EPOC brain-computer-interface for use in our game Son of Nor. And Son of Nor is a great case study because of its innovative game mechanics like telekinesis and terraforming. What would be more intuitive than thinking about lifting a rock with the power of your mind (using the emotiv EPOC) and actually lifting it!

So it is with great pride and enthusiasm that we announce a partnership with SteelSeries, a leading manufacturer of gaming gear, and Tobii, a company specialized in assistive technology and eye-tracking. Son of Nor will be among the first games that officially supports their upcoming eye-tracking sensor bar! Imagine only having to look at the spot you want to terraform. Don’t move your mouse to pick up a rock, just look at it. What could a game with superpowers like telekinesis, terraforming and magic wish for if not devices that let the players feel and experience that magic, too?

Here is our short intro trailer that currently runs around the clock at SteelSeries' and Tobii's booth at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. It shows how we envision the device to work but doesn’t yet represent actual live footage of the peripheral in action, as it will only be available later this year. We will, however, include cool updates in our weekly dev diaries as soon as we get our hands on the dev kit!

this feature sounds very good congrats, but one thing that you guys have still to solve is the instability of the ragdolls, on almost all videos that you guys blast a enemy, some of his limbs gets stretched when ragdolling.
