Valchion is a action RPG with retro graphics and simple mechanics. It features bright, GameBoy Color-styled visuals, and a (hopefully) memorable soundtrack. It should be released for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. It's also being made with the Blender Game Engine, which features fast game creation and no time spent exporting to an external engine.
All of the sprites so far integrated into the BGE in the form of planes.
I love this system you use. In the case of sparky a 2D game are you using the BGE because its python?
I like Python, but the BGE has useful functions for Sparky, too, like the ability to align the character to the ground. That kind of stuff made it possible for me to make the game.
Normal 2D engines wouldn't usually have that feature. The BGE also has other advantages, like GLSL screen filters and pretty advanced audio handling.
And thanks!
