Problem Launching Thread - Solar War

Hi

I just bought this. Great game!

It worked at first, but now i'm having problems launching the game from Desura.
I keep getting the message "There was an error during the MCF install process and it has been stopped. The tool Java 6.25 failed to install (Bad Result)[37.0]"
How do i fix this ?

Also, after purchasing the game, i didn't get a CD key on Desura. In fact, my account in Desura says it doesn't require a CD key at all. Is this normal ?

Hmm, that's weird. Especially if it worked before. Is there any other information in the Desura console window if you open that?

Also, you could try running the game directly from the "Desura\Common\solar-war" directory if it is already installed.

Either way, I'll see about making the standalone installer available somehow by Monday or Tuesday. Using that would likely bypass your problem entirely.

There is no CD key needed for the game, there's no DRM or anything in there.

Small update to my post above: You should now be able to use the "Connect" feature on the game page to link your account to the official game site and get the standalone installer there.

Plus there's a special pre-order bonus waiting there for having bought the game during Alpha: The ability to add yourself to the game as a recruitable officer.
