Sins of a Solar Empire is a real-time space strategy and the first chapter in an epic science fiction saga. The independent Trader Worlds must unite and form the Trader Emergency Coalition to defend themselves against the return of their exiled brethren, "The Advent" and the arrival of the desperate remnants of the ancient Vasari Empire. So if it will have "more" features soon what features does it have now?
Right now it basicaly removes frigates and cruisers from the game, along with lowering the production costs and requirments for Capitals.
Hopefully I'll have more time to put out new models and research options.
I've tried to run this mod with the current version of Sins, but for some reason it didn't seem to work.
Shoot_me: If just extracted the folder from the zip file then, yes it won't work. I had the same problem when I first tried to run it. If you look in the folder you extracted you'll see another CrimsMod folder and a readme, you need to cut the CrimsMod folder and paste it into the mod folder overwriting when it asks. If I understand how the game looks at mods it looks at the first level directory in the mod folder to get the mod name, then looks inside that folder for predetermined folders such as textures, particle, mesh, etc. Since it doesn't see any of those it doesn't actually load anything. If you look in that folder you'll see 3 folders: another CrimsMod folder, a gameinfo, and string folders. (not sure what the CrimsMod folder is there for)
This mod has great potential, and I hope you do more things for it.
does this need a certain version of Sins, because it followed mogamepro's advice but it still doesn't work.(Or do need to "activate" the mod some how. If you have to, can someone tell me how. I love this game and this mod looks amazing.
one thing. i just couldn't make to work, creating a mod folder just didn't seem to be enough. anyone, help.
