The Alchemilla regional hospital, or simply known as Alchemilla Hospital, is one of the best known hospitals in Silent Hill and its surroundings, mainly famous by his ORT and intesive care unit and the leading facilities of that time in the medical field. Alchemilla Hospital was founded in 1863 as an intensive care unit and nursing to the wounded soldiers during the American Civil War. Later in his first remodeling was used as Paleville's County regional hospital, incorporating infirmary and even the first surgery units around Silent Hill.
The years weighed and the hospital has suffered very many cosmetic and labor changes. Events that have happened in the hospital after the Civil War, as mysterious suicides of apparently healthy patients or psychological problems in nurses and workers, led to close a season for completely restructure the hospital and its staff while police investigations were taking for hints or clues that caused those deaths.
In 1910, years after the events, the hospital was completely remodeled, with a psychiatric unit inside and greater control in patients due to the events that happened.
At the time it has remained as it is, even if strange but isolated cases still occur on its premises, disturbing and mysterious. The importance was subtracting since the order introduced among hospital workers, a drug known as White Claudia.
