SickBrick is an action-oriented Sci-Fi FPS with vivid graphics and old school gameplay.

The game consists of 15 levels mixing indoor and outdoor areas. You’re forced to do tests for an unknown robotic mastermind. Destroy hundreds of hostile robots with a wide variety of weapons on a strange alien planet. Jump in a hover-tank and wreak havoc on giant boss enemies. As you go through the tests, you slowly unravel the story through log files of previous test subjects.

The game contains the following:

  • 15 maps with a mix of outdoor and indoor locations on a strange alien world.
  • 5 unique and devastating weapons. Chainsaw, Shotgun, Lightning Gun, Grenade Launcher, and the Shock Rifle.
  • 10 deadly robotic enemies each with custom animations and sounds.
  • Explosive hover-tank driving sections.
  • Vivid graphics reminiscent of the golden years of first person shooters.
  • Advanced graphical technologies like depth of filed and screen space ambient occlusion.
  • A rocking original soundtrack.
  • Includes MapEditor and ResourceEditor for creating custom maps and mods.

Greets people!

SickBrick has passed Greenlight a few weeks ago and since then we've been working tirelessly to update the game to Steam's standards. We've finished work on the game a few days ago and have released the game on Steam!
Check out the steam page of the game!

We've also updated the launch trailer to show off the new graphics capabilities:

The road to Steam has been tough, we first put the game on greenlight back when it started in 2012, but we did not have enough fans to pass greenlight. Since then the game has been featured in many bundles which helped gain us gain followers. We also showed the game off on multiple expos and conferences. This enabled us to pass greenlight, after which we worked on the game non-stop to get it in shape for a Steam release.

New Screenshots

Here's a few new things to expect in the Steam release of SickBrick:

  • Updated graphics
  • Trading Cards
  • Achievements
  • New gameplay elements
  • Engine optimizations
  • New animations on weapons and enemies
  • More music variation
  • a million other things I can't think of right now.

New Screenshots

That's it. We hope you check out the game on Steam! Peace out!

if engine supports Linux why not build for Linux since Linux programming environment is very easy to use!

The engine doesn't support linux natively right now. Native linux support will come in the coming months.

From my experience in the demo, if there's ever going to be multiplayer, I will vote for co-op over deathmatch any time of the day. Given the number of enemies thrown at you at one go, the game's practically begging for co-op =)

This looks cool and for $6 I would not mind getting it. However I assume it will not be releasing on steam?

Looks interesting but you're really going to have to add some animation to the weapons, otherwise it'll feel wrong.

For an indie developed game, it has really nice rendering and graphics. The atmosphere of the game is pretty good too. However some models don't look too right, but its neglible. Just waiting on a native Linux release now.
