SickBrick is an action-oriented Sci-Fi FPS with modern graphics and oldschool gameplay inspired by Portal and Serious Sam. Out now for Windows, Linux and Mac! (linux version uses a wine wrapper)

The game consists of 15 levels mixing indoor and outdoor areas. You're forced to do tests for an unknown robotic mastermind. As you go through the tests, you slowly unravel the story through log files of previous test subjects.

Kill hundreds of robots, use unique weapons, drive a tank!

Greetings fellow IndieDB and ModDB-ers!

We struck a deal with the biggest retailer here in Croatia to get the game out physically in Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia. That's the Balkans, yes :D
We're still negotiating with Polish publishers to get the game there too.

We can't begin to tell you what that means for a small one man studio like us. This will speed up the development of our next game by 300% and get us a lot of regional publicity.

Here's the dvd boxshot:

The next patch for SickBrick is coming soon too. it will bring loads of new stuff to SickBrick like SSAO, FXAA, DOF, Light Scattering and AI optimisations. In short; a lot of acronyms.

The digital downloads on Desura are at 38.
38 copies sold in a year. SickBrick rules! hahahaha
Just to remind you that the price is now 4.99$ so bring that pocket change.

Desura Digital Distribution

We're still on a pretty good 7.2 rating considering all those 1 out of 10 ratings we got because it's not a native linux game :\

P.S.
Our next game is developing along well. So that's cool too.
Here's a screen from it:

Cheers!

Please do not include non-native games in the Linux section. Or, mention the use of WINE prominently on the games page.

Cheers,
Venn

Where exactly would you want us to mention it? We are sorry if you are dissatisfied with the game. A native Linux version of the game will come out when the engine supports it. Until then we are stuck with a wine wrapper. We just want to bring the game to as many people as possible.

now I'm downloading the demo to try out hoe it works, under wine... I have only a question regarding the price. It says 7,99$ but as I'm in the euro zone, and the price would be 5,75€ and not 7,99€!!

I know this must be desura's fault, but if we all want to be fair, the price should be the same for everyone... users like me can felt cheated and developers can lose sells with that situation, if they are not aware that their product has two prices...

Regards

Argh I had no idea it used Wine. Purchased it for Ubuntu 11.10 64bit. I hope a native version comes out because although it runs rather smooth under Wine, there are glitches in the graphics at times. Sometimes blotches of discolored pixels between each frame. It looks and somewhat feels promising though.

when the game was still under development i did play a early beta of it, and the final demo, (it was on moddb while it was developed). that said i have to say that it has come a rather good game but like someone else suggested above, maybe it was a bit to early released because it still had a few minor issues.

but, for only 7,99 euro it is a great game. the difference between the indoor and outdoor envirement is nice change. it has not much depth or a story but for a small shooting game it does give enough gameplay plessure.

For an indie developed game, it has really nice rendering and graphics. The atmosphere of the game is pretty good too. However some models don't look too right, but its neglible. Just waiting on a native Linux release now.
