Sheep-Hit is a game made by students of the french game developers school Creajeux. This game was created for a contest organized by the famous french newspaper LeMonde.fr . The purpose of this contest was to explain to bloggers how a game was made from scratch, while giving to the participants some notoriety as game developers. The Sheep-Team is made of three programmers and three 3D artistes We run a blog to describe how our game is going on and trying to explain to bloggers how we work and with what tools. Unfortunately the blog has to be written in french, but feel free to come by and let us know what you thought about it, in any way.
To make players feel that each game is unique, a random process will be made at each new game. All elements will have their "moment of random": he farm itself, its walls, the objects inside the farm, lakes, hills, etc. All we can randomize will be randomize.
In this picture shows how we implement the random on the farm walls.
A dummy with a specific tag is put between each pillar. All there is to do is to find out where the door-wall will be place and then, with the three walls left place a wall or a window on it. And that's it.
