Visiting Rome from Chicago, where he works as a doctor, ex-priest James Murphy answers a mysterious call for help from his friend Cristoforo. The disappearance of a briefcase containing compromising documents is enough to convince James that his friend is a victim of something shady and sinister. The Vatican's involvement and some strange parallels with his own traumatic past inspire James to get to the bottom of this mystery. Along this dangerous and disturbing path, James finds the most unlikely travelling companion who will question his deepest beliefs. And so the two characters begin both a physical journey in search of the truth, and a metaphysical exploration of the inner soul and the darkest secrets that everyone hides, even a "champion of the faith" like James. Rome is the stage for this adventure – a city bathed in eternal twilight, its skies tinted the color of blood spilled in more than thirty years of intrigue: blood of innocents and guilty, unknown and famous victims alike

Hi guys,

the problem is through the Desura client you're able to install just the HD version that doesn't work if you don't have a 1920x1080 monitor. We're investigating the problem.

In the meantime, you can access to the full package through this address: Indiedb.com

Please let us know if this solves your problems!

To complement my previous reply:

If those files are the same as the standalone installer from last week, then they're the same source as my installation.

Currently I playing on a LCD TV with aspect ratio of 4:3 and max resolution of 1024x768 connected to my PC through a DVI connection at 60Hz, and using Intel HD Graphics 3000. Maybe the problem is related to that, but I've never had this problem before with others games.

But I'm not complaining, because I'm really enjoying this game and I can't wait for Act 2, even if I haven't completed Act 1 yet... :)

It's just weird to play for me in windowed mode. I'm not use to it yet.

Hi Azrael,

that's the reason, then. The game requires a minimum resolution of 1280x720 to be played in full screen. I'm sorry for this, but due to our engine limitation we choose to pick the widescreen resolution as basis.

I hope you will enjoy the rest of Act I!

Thanks for the quick reply! :)

That's OK then, at least I know why now. So, even the standard version requieres 1280x720 to play in fullscreen mode?

I guess it's time to get a new monitor soon then! ;)

Yes, the standard version requires a 1280x720 monitor, unfortunately! If you have any other problems, please ask!

That can't be... because I don't use the Desura client. I only install games from standalone installers.

Found the same issue as Stoneth.

I installed the standard version. When I start the game, it appears the settings window. When I click OK, the window closes and nothing happens, the game doesn't load, and not a process related to the game appears in the task manager. Only when I change in the settings from "Fullscreen" to "Windowed" (selecting "Run in window\"), the game loads but the window is too big.

The only way I found to fix this is to maximize the window (clicking in the "maximize" button of the window, or with a double-click in the upper part of the window), then I can see everything, but still is not fullscreen as I wanted.

Any proper way to fix this?

How do I change the resolution? It doesn't run in full screen and in windowed mode runs in a window larger than my own resolution.

Try the HD version if you haven't already. There's an option to use desktop resolution and it plays in full screen. Haven't tried regular version, so can't help with that.
