UPDATE: Less than a day left, so get in before it is too late!

Wolfire's indie game pack, The Humble Indie Bundle is back with 5 games from Frozenbyte. As per usual there will be no DRM and we are humbled that Desura will again be helping to distribute the purchased games!

You can pay what you want and even donate part of it to help charity (Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play). The big titles included are:

All of the games but Jack Claw will be release for Linux, Mac and Windows. But the Jack Claw source code will be published, so there are good chances that it gets ported by the community.

I thought the first humble pack was the best by far. This isn't to bad, trine looks great but others don't look particularly exciting. May just buy it for trine :D.

It's actually 3 games (4 if you count the promise of a future game, which is fine.) Jack Claw isn't a complete game and won't be.

Actually, it looks like Jack Claw WILL be a real game... more or less.... eventually. Really it depends on if there becomes a community behind it.

I see no reason NOT to get it! If only for helping out charities and the good people who host these. However, I thought the Trine demo was excellent - excited to play it in full. There's always room for a top-down shooter here, too!

It's a shame a lot of people are paying so little :P Although the possibility is there to do so, so no one can blame them of course :P And 'something' always beats 'nothing' ;)

I already own the games on steam, but I RECOMMEND THAT PEOPLE GET THEM!!

Trine is a platformer (with physics!).
Shadowgrounds is overhead view shooter.
Alien Breed, Alien Swarm)from a top down diablo 2 perspective.

I recommend the first three games, dont know much about the others lol.

starting to sound like gog.com now...I liek!
DRM-free, pay what you want (radiohead model, lol?) and CROSS-PLATFORM SUPPORT! omg!

Ive been installing ubuntu and edubuntu on workplace laptops, and is discovering linux-based OS-systems for myself now, so I like that alot.

Your best bet for knowing when the next Humble Bundle will come out is to get on their announce mailing list so they email you when the new Humble Bundle is announced. They don't have a scheduled release cycle because game companies have to sign up for it and all the games have to be for Linux, Mac and Windows or they can't be a part of the bundle, oh and no DRM (copy protection) either.

I think Jack Claw skated by on the last bundle because it wasn't a full game and the source code was released in the bundle for it. I thought they were going to work on eventually porting Jack Claw to Linux and Mac and release it for everyone. If Frozenbyte doesn't I am sure someone out there will port it eventually to Linux and probably Mac.

I might mention that Ryan "Icculus" Gordon mentioned in a talk at a conference that a lot of companies are dying to get in to the bundle but they don't have a Linux version or a Linux and Mac version so he and others are getting overloaded with requests for porting. You watch the clip of his talk online here:

I don't know how many of you saw this. It looks like Frozenbyte did do a Linux version of Jack Claw. I just downloaded it off the Humble Bundle website using the link they give you for your purchase. They ported everything (game & editor) over to Linux for Jack Claw and released the ported source code as well.
