A procedural seafaring sandbox adventure game. Fight ships, go fishing, search for sunken treasure, do what you want.
Started working on more HUD stuff, and wind.
On foot:
•1234 to select equipment
•Q to quickswap between last selection and current
At helm:
•Shows speed of boat in knots along with direction
•Q to swap between boat speed/direction and wind speed/direction
The wind can change over time, it was just calm in that gif apparently. Still some more work to do on it, and I still haven’t done animations for sails yet. It’s a start though.

I'm wondering, how big are the levels going to be? Is it an open-world? Maybe you could add a small map on the screen that shows where you are. Great work so far, by-the-way. :-)
Right now the horizontal plane is finite, but loops back around on itself. You can travel into the distance as well with each layer being a new map pretty much. The boat you see in the background is a layer you can actually travel to and interact with.
I'm not sure how wide each layer will be eventually, but right now it's 3x the width of the screen.
