Psyrek has made us a combo wire+pipe block, at my request. It's my goal to fully replace the current separate wire and pipe networks with this, simplifying the steps needed to make a ship.
Plus, they look lovely!

While these are awesome, and will simplify things in many instances, I think there will still be times when one will want only pipes or only wires running to a certain area of the ship. If I only have a laser (or other energy-only component) in my starboard nacelle, I don't really want pipes running to it too. There will be times when you do want it, but I think pipes and wires should be preserved alongside this combo.
