ScrumbleShip is the most accurate space combat simulation devised to date. Gather resources, construct a capital ship out of individual blocks, then pilot it with AI or human help against other players.

I've been hard at work on the particle effects system. This is 300,000+ voxels bouncing around inside of a ship in real time.

Light-speed travel?
What about light speed travel? If you're asking if that will be in the game, it will feature faster-than-light in the form of a warp drive/gates.
If you're asking if light speed travel is depicted here, then no. This is a lot of voxel shrapnel produced by shooting holes in the walls with a laser.
When I first saw the pic, I thought it was light speed too. Haha. Was pretty cool lookin. Both ways, I like it.
Quite nice indeed! But what is the framerate on an average machine when seeing 300k voxels?
I've never produced that many voxels yet, but they are /amazingly/ light on resources. I've had at least tens of thousands bouncing all over the place without any noticeable framerate hit.
Dirkson, is that the inside of the Queen Mary Ann? What have you done?! :D
Well, I just did a 400,000 test. That resulted in a graphics framerate drop from 30 to 16FPS. The simulation frames, however, kept right on at 30fps. (30 is our maximum)

It's full of cubes. :P
