This is a possible replacement for the current laser block, made by Betaking12. What do you guys think?

I like it. It retains the green glow of the old laser, but has a more high-tech look, and looks like it has a lens.
I'd like to see versions of this with a two-meter diameter! They'd take crazy power and make crazy heat to run at full power, but be potentially much more damaging.
I would like the larger version to be similar to the way the MagCannon block currently works, i.e. multiple blocks you can build your own deathray with.
Yup - I intend to design them way. A laserlight source block, a couple of condensing mirrors, and maybe a firing mirror.

Visually, it probably looks a bit better. Just my opinion though. Needs more green though. ;)
