It looks great! I just hope there will be more to this game's combat system than just stationary biting. Also, some of animations involving the head look a little weightless.

There will be significantly more than stationary biting. I wouldn't worry about that at all ;)

Will there be different animations for different forms of eating? I was wondering this because I was thinking maybe there should be different animations for the different sizes of dinosaurs it will be eating.

Tomozaurus, one of the developers of this game, has already stated here Indiedb.com that there is no set release date yet. He has also stated in the same page that I have linked to that the price will likely be in the range of around $15.

Great, but the running animation to me seems like the walking animation, could be improved, otherwise, awesome.

As a bit of a dino-nerd, I feel can help you out here. T-rex was a large, heavy animal, and over the years many studies have been done - results have ranged from 18-72 kilometres per hour for good old rex's pace. However, the current consensus is that Tyrannosaurus Rex could run at about 40 km/h (About the sprinnting speed of an athletic human.) I did some quick measurements in Photoshop, and if that T-rex is the full 12.3 metres, then the stride in it's run animation is about 4. 4 metres. Saurian's T-rex places a foot every 0.73 seconds when running, and the run speed is, by that measure, about 6 metres per second or 21 km/h. Respectable, but reserved. Unfortunately, I can't calculate the sprint speed because I can't get a stride length as the T-rex is momentarily airbourne and I have no fixed reference points to work with, but I'd assume that The Team at Saurian have researched to give a believeable and accurate speed to their Dinosaur. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me - it's 10:20 PM here in England and I'm more than a little tired.

I hope I was of help!

Great comment :) . Vis-à-vis the sprint speed of Saurian's T. rex, Tom Parker (aka Tomozaurus) stated in the first reply to this comment ( Youtube.com ) that the top speed of Saurian's T. rex is 40 km/h. So, it seems that their result agrees with the general consensus amongst the scientific community.

...The walk and the run were almost exactly the same, and the sprint didn't look much different.

And I won't even get started on the so far yet to be proven feathers.

In my opinion, you should make his jaw wider, and when he roars, you should make his jaws part wider. Because, it looks like hes just snarling. Anyway, keep up the good work! :D

You should also, make his claws larger, and put more detail into them. You worked great on everything else with the colours, and details and stuff, and then you look at the feet, and it just ruins it. Or, maybe its just me, and the way the lighting is. Also, his eyes need to be more realistic.

What is it about the eyes that strikes you as unrealistic?

I noticed that the legs, when sprinting, clip into themselves. Its just a little thing I noticed. :)

Great, amazing graphics. Trex, and fur? Hm. Cool idea. Also, a thing i noticed.. was.. his feet. His feet have like no details. You should also fix his jaw when he roars. It needs to be wider. c:

The "fur" are feathers, like those of a cassowary.

Tomo, um.. his thigh.. It looks so small compared to like his head and stuff. It looks like his legs wouldnt have been able to hold his giant body. So, just at the top, you should make his thigh a bit bigger, as well as his feet. Everything else looks great! :D

Also, um.. the eyes are unrealistic. To me at least. They are glowing. Or maybe its just the picture, and in gameplay they will look a littl less glowing? Im not sure, just it bugs me. P.Funk.

I think the "glowing" effect is due to the lighting . The eyes' red hue probably sticks out due to the black background in the video. Perhaps this effect was also partially intentional on the part of the developers, in an attempt at showing off the anatomy of their rendition of T. rex.

Will there be dimorphism between the dinosaurs' sexes? I think it'd be cool to see differentiation in patterns/coloration!

I AGREE! YUS. If you do that, ugh. Omg, the realisticness will go up so much more!!

Man my favorite t-rex design got replaced by my least favorite t-rex design.
This is probably the change that got me tho most anger over a redesign. Man i hope this model isn't gone.
