Combining action and strategy in a unique way, Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves transports you into an epic folktale co-written with best-selling Canadian author Bryan Perro (Amos Daragon, Wariwulf), in which two feuding brothers will have to put aside their differences to save their sister, who is pursued by the Devil himself! This time however, sheer brute strength won't be enough to save the day as your enemies are way stronger than you are. Only your wits and the ability to combine ingenious traps to setup deadly ambushes will give you a chance to see the sun rise again on your frozen piece of forest...

Ugh, was happy to see this on the new releases... but then I saw the dreaded "Requires Steam" note.

To the dev: Why not put the actual game on Desura?

To Desura: Why do you keep accepting games that are just Steam keys?

Hey SirPrimalform,

Dev here, now I don't know the entire story, but it had something to do with the API or the Installer. We were just going to drop it, and then they offered to just sell steam keys.

Requires Steam? No, thank you.

I come to Desura to buy Steam-free games, not have my purchases funnel me back to a service I don't want to use.

I agree 1000%!

I wish Desura would only offer games designed ot be sold by their service. If I wanted STEAM games then I'd go to Steam to pick them up. As I don't use Steam at all, I'd never bother going there!

I wonder if there is a way on Desura to have it hide any Steam games from my account so I don't see a great looking game and then say "DAMN IT! It requires Steam. Well, so much for that game!"

There isn't. The only filters are Theme, Indie/AAA, Release Date and ect. No filter for DRM-free stuff, since I guess most indie devs here don't use DRM.

GamersGate has that option, but good luck finding games without a Steam requirement.
