Sanctum 2 is currently the main focus for Coffee Stain Studios and is set to bring the FPS-TD (First Person Shooter-Tower Defense) genre to new horizons. The goal with Sanctum 2 is to deliver something epic and memorable. Development has been going on for about a year, with the release being targeted for mid-2013. When producing Sanctum 2, we've taken every piece of feedback from Sanctum, and we're going to improve the aspects that we think were lacking in the original game.Even though it’s a sequel, we want to make sure Sanctum 2 feels fresh. With this in mind, we built Sanctum 2 is a completely new game from the ground up. This has allowed us to tweak, fix and improve it in every way. We’ll start revealing details soon, and we're probably even more excited than you guys! The best way to stay updated with the development of Sanctum 2 is to keep an eye on our newly started blog and our Facebook page. Expect a lot of Sanctum in the coming months!

Hey guys, quick question: Does it support cross-platform multiplayer? Since my friend will buy the Steam version and I want to buy the PS3 version. Would it be possible for us to play together?

Sanctum 2 is going to be amazing.
I like the look of the new towers. Land mines are always a plus. :P
I could rant on what did and didn't like about the first game, but instead, I will stick to the core 2 issue that, imo, really need to be addressed.
1 is that the sniper rifle was so overpowered and the rest of weapons were so weak as to be worthless.
2 is the reason I didn't buy Orcs Must Die 2, (I was eventually gifted it by a friend) the good towers were DLC. Having DLC isn't an issue, but the lack of core towers, like a sniper tower or a floor based trap, only to release them as DLC later was a real sore spot for me.
