Post feature Report RSS The Humble Botanicula Debut

New Humble Bundle, this time featuring Botanicula, Machinarium, Samorost 2, and also Windosill and Kooky film as a bonus.

Posted by on

A brand-new adventure game from Amanita Design. Botanicula has players adventuring as a motley band of tree creatures trying to save their home from parasitic invaders.

... plus Amanita Design's award-winning hits and more. Amanita Design's unique vision shines in the atmospheric Samorost 2 and Machinarium. Pay more than the average price, and you'll also receive the full-length feature film Kooky (with art direction by Amanita Design founder Jakub Dvorský), and Vectorpark's puzzle-art game Windosill! And soundtracks for the Amanita Design games are included!

Pay what you want. If you bought these games separately, it would cost around $53, but we are letting you set the price!

The Humble Botanicula

The games work great on Mac, Windows, and Linux (system requirements here). Note that this is the initial release of Botanicula. Please be patient while the developers fix any 1.0 bugs as quickly as they can. Of course, don't hesitate to contact us if you encounter any issues.

You can support charity. Choose how your purchase is divided between the developers and the habitat conservation charity World Land Trust. And if you like this deal, a tip to Humble Bundle would be much appreciated!

Botanicula is at least as good as Machinarium was, and THAT is a huge feat.

A completely czech ( En.wikipedia.org )Humble Bundle, organized by american company. Very interesting. I also recommend the recent czech film Kooky, included in the bundle!
Cheers

I've e-mailed Amanita Design and asked (politely!!!) to please consider Desura distribution and also to post keys for Humble Bundle purchasers, even if they need to enforce a minimum amount, like the other keys that are posted.

I encourage each of you who, like me, support Linux gaming through both Desura and Humble Bundle, to e-mail them and request the same.

I see nobody said it, so I will. Nearly all of those games are Flash based and Botanicula actually requires Adobe Air. Seriously, Adobe Air? This platform is dead on Linux for years. I've had many issues with previous bundles that included games available for other platforms years ago, many games that were pretty much broken on Linux to the point of unplayable (remember Dungeons of Dredmor initial Linux release, for example), but this is the last straw. How long will the devs treat Linux gamers as second-class citizens? As much as I like the idea of humble bundle and supporting indie developers, there's no way I'm giving my money to people who disrespect me like that. Sorry about the ramble, just had to let it out.

I just ran through this game on my Gentoo box. Works great. How is the devs' choice of platform disrespect to anyone? Yes it's Air, and yes the particular version they use runs on all platforms...what more do you need? Your rant is pointless. No need take your Adobe anger out on the devs that use their platform effectively.

I feel the same anger as you, especially as us Linux guys usually pay more than windows/mac

They didn't even give desura keys!
