The latest update for Robocraft bringing with it the new Single Player mode and the Community Robot Factory, which allows players to share their robots with the world or rent/buy other players' robots to try for themselves!

The Community Robot Factory (CRF) is now available to all players

  • It can be accessed via the green button at the top-right of the mothership interface
  • The CRF allows players to upload their robots to share them with the community
  • You can rent another player’s robot for 7 days at the cost of RP
  • You can’t rent a robot that uses parts you haven’t unlocked
  • You can buy another player’s robot permanently, along with all the parts it used, for GC
  • You can’t buy a robot that uses parts you haven’t unlocked
  • When a robot you uploaded is rented or bought, you get a share of the RP or GC
  • After using a rented/bought robot in battle, you can rate it for combat effectiveness and style
  • Players can report an offensive robot
  • Sorting system lets you find the exact robot you want

Single Player Mode is now available to all players

  • It can be accessed via the Fight menu
  • Enemy robots pulled directly from the CRF
  • Enemy robots are selected based on your RR Vs theirs
  • RP is earned for each robot you kill

  • CRF rental costs have been changed since the public testing period, new costs can be found here
  • SMG damage no longer drops off over range, base damage remains unchanged – Note that the buff from this damage is only applied to shots fired at enemies over very long distances. This change will not improve SMG damage output in typical low-mid range brawls, and the damage increase is overall very low as DPS over long distances is low due to tap-firing and inaccuracy.

  • Fixed a bug causing the incorrect robot name to appear when viewing a robot in the CRF
  • Fixed an issue which allowed players to rent (and rate) their own robot in the CRF
  • Fixed a bug causing the first win 2x bonus not to apply to rented robots
  • Fixed an issue causing overclocking adjustment to be disabled in test mode
  • Fixed a number of UI/text scaling issues

  • To improve queue times at lower RRs, The Pit and Team Deathmatch will be limited to max RR only. A lot more info on the reasoning behind this change can be found here.

Don't bother with this title the devs have killed it by locking away the varied content as end game. Team death match is the only mode for level 0 to 100 now and don't expect to have the resources to build a high enough bot to get into the new end game when you reach level 100, I know i'm there.

The creativity is gone as there is no point in building anything but a gunbed of bricks and smgs for tdm and since you need to use the top tier equipment to hit that magic 30 mil robot ranking there is no point in buying anything else like wings, railgun, etc that are not mark 10 except for the said gun bed.

They have killed their income stream as now as a player there is no point to buying more slots because you only need a single bay with said smg gunbed with all extra money put into savings to get those mark 10 parts. Same goes for the lovely cosmetics they had which were fun to pimp your ride when everything wasn't a race for end game.

Myself, a friend, his kids and my kids that's 6 accounts all do not play anymore as we all loved the Battle Arena for its tactical nature and large amount of specialist bots that found a supportive role in BA.

I'm afraid that the devs have just made an inconceived change purely to get as many new players to make money off. Essentially there are 2 modes. One simple 1 life per player team death match. Other was Battle Arena... Essentially you have to "capture" towers, to lower the teams shield that protects their reactor/repairs them. Battle arena was good because it had a mechanic called "Overclock" the more damage you do to players/towers the higher your overclock level gets. This stays with you if you die and increases the damage you do to players/towers. This was good because the game has 10 tiers of armors/weapons/forms of movement etc etc etc... However the matching system will always put people with tier 4 weapons with people with tier 3 armor. The differences between each tier is fairly big. Certainly it would be tough for 2 tier 3 armor + weapons players to take out one tier 4 armor + weapons if all 3 players had the same skill. Now Freejam decided to lock Battle arena to all but the most elite levels (Funnily enough battle arena unlocks to the tier 7 bot that you can BUY for real money). This has made the game loose its fun. Putting you against higher tiered players, with only one life and no way to level the playing field ruins the game.... Sorry Freejam

Lowest Rated (4 agree) 1/10

Devs ruined a game I used to love playing. Would have given a 10/10 last year but now its a 3 (because I am new will be reduced or raised accordingly).

Now down to a 1 due to buffs on rails that didn't need it.

I can't give negative score after the latest fuck up update from FreeJam, Thanks for fucking ruining the game for an old player.
