Hi Desura community! :)

I'm proud to announce that the full version of my game "Rico - A Tale Of Two Brothers" is finally released! It's available for Windows, Mac and Linux. And if you like to play on a mobile device, there's an Android version too!

Rico - A Tale Of Two Brothers is a retro inspired platformer that mixes elements from many great classics like Pitfall, Super Mario, Castlevania and Knytt with my own humble ideas. A game with a nostalgic feeling while still staying fresh. I wanted to create something I would have loved to play as a child and still love to play now!

Rico features 32 levels, boss battles, collectible crystals, numerous different enemies and traps, 4 difficulty levels and a catchy chiptune soundtrack by Bunnymajs!

If you're interested, head over to the Desura page to get it! There's also a demo version that lets you play the first 8 levels including the first boss fight for free, so why not try it out? :)

Thanks for your time!

I've never heard or seen this before! All I can say is that my game definitely has NO trojan inside! It's a false alarm, I'm sure!

Hi, I looked at the Indie Game Stand offering. It mentions an additional 4 levels as part of the beat the average offering. Are these 4 levels available to people who have already purchased the game here on Desura? If not, what happens if I buy the game (again) on IGS to get the extra levels but already have my previous Desura key redeemed on my account?

Thank you.

I exclusively made these bonus levels for the IGS deal. However, the bonus is given out as a stand alone executable, so it doesn't interfere with whatever you've installed via Desura at all. :)

So if I install the Desura version I just bought at IGS and then play the standalone Rico_Bonus_Levels.zip posted at IGS I am not missing out on anything? Thanks!

I downloaded the demo and aslong as I am playing it with a keyboard it works just fine. However I would like to play it with my 360 gamepad. The problem is that I can setup the keys just fine but when I try to use the pad it does not move or jump at all and I have to go back using the keyboard again. Anyone got a suggestion how to solve the problem?

I'm sorry it doesn't work for you! The game library I'm using still has some issues with certain types of controllers. I hope I can fix that ASAP. As a workaround, you can use JoyToKey (http://www-en.jtksoft.net/) or something similar if you're not on Windows.

I use JoyToKey even for Binding of Isaac... it is a great solution to many games you want to play with a controller
