We are happy to announce Alpha 6.6 is up and running. We have added a lot of new features as well fixed many bugs.
Here are a few things added:
Single player mode:
- There is a 1/4 chance that each time you kill a zombie a rat will
spawn at his location. The spawn is instantaneous for now.
- Multiplayer and singleplayer now play different music.
- Added a meter to show how many zombies are left each round.
- Added a stats menu to see damage done, accuarcy and frags hitting the letter "P" brings up the menu.
- Added a buy menu in survival mode hitting the letter "B" to bring up the buy menu.
- Support Troopers, which can be spawned by buying support from the buy menu.
Three of them spawn with normal support and 6 with 2x, the lesser half has rocket launcher and the rest have shotguns (unlimited ammo, 1/4 the normal damage).
Multiplayer mode:
- Capture the flag mode added to Main, Hospital and Woods maps so far.
- Killing teammates no longer contributes to total damage/accuracy.
- We re-added insta game modes (insta, instateam, instactf).

I have downloaded the last version from Sourceforge, but when i try to change the settings (resolution, effects, etc..) it says a error message and close itself....how im supposed to change settings then?
There was just a bug with the "apply changes" dialog I missed before, it's all been sorted out now, until the next release set the menudisappearm to 0 "menudisappearm 0" to fix it (don't forget to set it back to 1 after the update if you use the same config file).
Thanks it worked!
This is the first time We've heard of this error. I will talk to our lead programer and see what we can do about fixing it.
As soon as its fixed and tested I will let you know and re-upload the fixed version of the game, I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
I still think this game on Unity 3D, or UDK, or CE3, would do much much better(simply because it HAS the potential)
We appreciate your feedback and have looked in to other engines for this game. Our coders and artist were confident we could make something in the classic style game play that is both fun and interactive.
If all goes well with RR there is a good chance that the next game of the series maybe out on another engine.
We are currently updating our servers we will get them back up as soon as we can.
Servers are back up and running.
We have been focuing on online play the last week or so after we relased alpha 6.5.1 you may see alpha 6.5.2 soon.
We want to be able to give you a stable online game play as you test the different modes and advise us of what you like or dont like.
A big part of alpha 6.6 will be finishing up the map details of the current maps we have as well as making sure all game play types are supported by its respective map.
