I found the FPS very low myself which didnt give the game a very fluid feeling.

Looks good though keep at it

Thanks :) What graphics card do you have? Also the engine is still pretty unoptimized so it should improve over time.

I found the FPS very high.
I think he is referring to the frame rate/animation when shooting.
It is pretty bad, oh and another tip, the skybox was way too large and looked abnormal.

Looks a bit lack luster for being in development for 2 years.

Dude, this game was developed by one guy, all of it! The engine, all textures, the models, the gameplay, all of it. So two years isn't a long time considering how stable it is and all.

I will definitely try this out sometime, an FPS game built from the ground up is quite an accomplishment. Could use a more original name and theme though, there must be dozens of other CS/COD influenced shooters with a similar name (as hard as the devs will deny it, I'm sure this game was heavily inspired by CS and COD). Hopefully we'll see some interesting new game mechanics or game modes later on.

I see a lot of potential for the game's graphics though. It took me a while to realize those soft shadows were real time and not lightmaps. Is there any lightmapping, or is all the shadowing done in real time? Also, ironsights and ragdolls are pretty cool. I just hope the engine is well optimized

We like this theme, originality is not focus, good in-game feeling and fun is :) And no, this game is not directly influenced by CS nor COD. These are very arcade shooters, I don't like them and don't play them. I would like to have new game mechanics as well but it's pretty hard to think of new ideas that would actually work in this type of multiplayer game.

There are lightmaps, they're smoothly blended with soft shadows from moving objects.

The lightmaps are very well done then :)
While I don't have anything against the game for lacking originality, it just means it'll have to compete with big budget titles like CS when it comes out. I still haven't played it yet, but the setting of "specops vs terrorists" in an urban environment involving bomb defusals sounds just like CS, there's plenty of other settings you could have without sacrificing realism or gameplay.

Player models look nice something that game from Swat 4, but the map looks to box like and doesn't seem finish. (walls look a little thin)

This game looks great! Simple but nice graphics, simple but detailed models and textures, classic fps-style gameplay. Very cool, can't wait! :D

I'd play this.

jezek2 Nov 30 2009, 4:08pm replied:

Models are created in Blender and textures in GIMP. The whole game was created on Linux only. I have custom export script from Blender, so you'll have to import through some common 3D format from other modelling programs.

But it's too early to contribute anything, it would actually make the work more complicated for me. In future there will be modding support.
