I loathed having to install Adobe Air, especially an old version, but Reprisal runs great here now on my Ubuntu 12.04 laptop. Didn't take a lot to get it working.

This game is pretty fantastic! Multiplayer would be pretty cool though (not many games need it but I think it would be pretty cool in this one)... even if it is just LAN I would really like to play with some friends.

Yes this would be great and its on our list. We are starting to get into real time multiplayer for our next game Battle Keep so possibly for Reprisal 2! There's a lot of infrastructure that needs thinking about and dev but that's half the fun :D

I would buy this, but it uses Adobe Air, which is no longer supported on Linux. Is there any other possible method of delivery for Linux users? I love the web version and I want to support you guys, but I'm not going to pay for a game I can't play.

It is a shame that adobe have stopped supporting it. The linux version has been compiled using Air 2.6, the last version of Air adobe made for linux. Are you having problems getting that to run? When you mention a standard flash player do you mean for a web browser / SWF file? Any ideas are welcomed and we can make some test builds :D

The trouble with that version of Air 2.6 is that it requires an older version of Gnome Keyring or KDE wallet to authenticate root access, neither of which I can get access to since I use elementaryOS.

I think Lone Survivor did it through a standard .swf file that ran in a standalone player window, so something like that would be great. I don't know if the player was the standard flash player or something Jasper Byrne wrote himself, but you guys probably have more of an idea about that as flash developers.

The Linux version of Lone Survivor sucks because in fullscreen you don't have keyboard input. I don't have such problems in any game released as AIR package (for example Cardinal Quest, Cardinal Quest 2, Reprisal and Anodyne).

There is a guide for installing Adobe AIR 2.6 on Ubuntu which worked for me splendidly and for many others.

As I said, I'm NOT running Ubuntu. I got the .deb, but because elementaryOS doesn't use Gnome Keyring, the installer throws and error and then fails.

You should look at the answer with the most votes as it has description about missing libgnome-keyring.

Why not deliver it in a standard flash player on Linux a la Lone Survivor? It's still very widely supported.

Just wanted to +1 gazornoplat's comment. Tried installing an older version of Adobe Air on Linux to play this game (purchased it 5 minutes ago) and the Air Installer doesn't even work.

Would love to be able to play Reprisal, since we've paid for it 'n' all.
