Red March is an innovative indie RTS game. We aim to implement a combination of old-school RTS gameplay on large scale maps, showing realistic battles and using an immersive storyline to capture the feeling of the last world war. Concieved as a cure to the recent trend of oversimplification of strategy games and the dilution of their portrayal of war, Red March intends to combine the fast-paced and frantic gameplay of old-school games, such as Command and Conquer, and combine it with the innovative concepts of more recent games which have become standard, such as infantry cover systems and destructible scenery.

The setting: An alternate universe largely similar to ours. The year is 1969. Mankind is divided into a handful of powerful military and political powers. Insane politicans and feverish paranoia rule the world. The Cold War is coming to a close, and it will come to an end with fire and blood. Prepare yourselves; That end is nigh.

Red March is a direct descendant of the Red Alter modification for C&C: Tiberium Wars.

Season's Greetings, all!

December has come and we're ready to publish our new update! Unfortunately, the development process is very slow, and the whole team have lots to contend with in real life... But we don't lose heart and continue to work.

Thanks to our friends and contributers, we have some new concept art and models. Also we begin to migrate concept art, which we adopted to use in the Red March, from our existing project Red Alter to the new gallery.

In parallel we are conducting work on the deep lore and background of the Red March universe. Since we position RM as a serious alternative history, we try as much as possible to delve deeper into the real historical events in order to simulate a realistic and interesting world, not just as a background for any old crazy event as in the C&C series. You can read the draft of the Red March timeline. It is in WIP status, but we will continue to update it.

In addition, we have started preparations for creation of a public wiki for our fans, in which we will publish information about the lore, the characteristics of units and other stuff. We could create it right now, but one of the goals is to support different languages on the wiki, so you'll need to wait just a bit longer.

За время наблюдений сложился интересный вопрос: насколько близко по геймплею, схеме развития фракций и "революционности" идей ваша игра (по задумке) близка к Red Alert?

У нас совершенно собственная вселенная. Так как игра является коммерческим проектом, то нам нельзя использовать никакого контента франшизы Red Alert.
Что касается геймпля - мы решили всё же поэкспериментировать во многом, хотя в целом оставить основы теми же - тоже аналог MCV, тоже строим базы, клепаем кучи юнитов и собираем ресурсы. Отличия скрываются в деталях...
Но сразу хочу сказать - релиз будет очень не скоро, только в следующему году покажем что-то прямо связанное с геймплеем, поэтому пока подробнее о нём говорить не можем так как сами ещё не уверены что из фич доживёт до релиза.

Я не прочь подождать, подгонять-то вас незачем (а то мало ли -- новая фича задумается?)
Правда, есть небольшая просьба -- сделайте, пожалуйста, игру так, чтобы она работала более-менее стабильно на относительно старых компах, и одновременно в приемлемом качестве (надеюсь, многие поддержат). И снова же желаю удачи!

Apologies for the late reply: We do still intend to have the 3 factions as previously stated. However we won't be revealing the third until much later, perhaps not even before release.
