Red Crucible is loosely based on the Cold War gone hot scenario, and is being developed using the Unity 3D game engine.

Hello all, this is just a small development update for Red Crucible. The grime layer added to the ground (but not very detailed). We still need to add the colorful civilian cars, bus stops, destructible oil drums (and power transformers) in the alleys. Will also need to block off some streets in order to channel game play.

The game should go live on Facebook by mid/late August 2010...

Does it use normal maps or any other kind of bump maps?

Yes, we can use pretty much any advanced shader with Unity3D Pro. But there is a price to pay; video cards need to be a newer generation, on-board (cheap office PCs) video cards can't keep up. I'm using both the Nvidia 7800 and 9200M and they can handle this easily.
