1946. Mankind has just suffered one of the most brutal wars it ever faced. While the rest of the world is still rebuilding, a scientist of unmatched genius by the name of Albert Einstein decides to act. With a device he was engineering at a secret research center in Trinity, New Mexico, he travels back in time to kill the person who he sees as the root of all misery: Adolf Hitler. He catches up with Hitler in 1926 and disposes of him without thoroughly considering the consequences, as time will soon tell.

It's now the 1950s. World War II never happened -- at least, not yet. Germany remains a peace-loving country with close ties to other European nations, now facing increased tensions with Russia under Josef Stalin's rule. In order to realize the glorious Marxist dream he has envisioned, Stalin mobilizes the forces of the USSR. His goal? The conquest of Europe. The nations under threat form the Alliance that seeks to put an end to this madman's nightmare before he can see to its completion. The Great World War II has begun.

  • Steamroll over Europe with the high-powered arsenal of the Soviets or repel the invasion with the technological superiority and cunning of the Allied Forces in a team-based FPS inspired by Westwood Studios' hit real-time strategy game, C&C Red Alert.
  • Wage warfare on the land and in air with units ranging from Mammoth Tanks and Chinooks to Phase Tanks and Longbows.
  • Pacifist? Repair your base as an Engineer, support the war effort as a Medic or Mechanic, or infiltrate the enemy stronghold and steal intelligence or assets with Spies and Thieves.
  • Timed and tuned Tech Levels unlock progressively more powerful weapons and vehicles as the match progresses. Early infantry skirmishes give way to full combined-arms conflict, with high-tech war vehicles including the stealthy Phase Tank, nuclear Demolition Truck, and high-voltage Tesla Tank!

Now Available via BHP Launcher!

While our Version 3.0 build slowly moves towards a stable state suitable for release, we're happy to announce the release of a new balance update right here, right now. Several player concerns and fan feedback will be addressed in this new release, which was put together by community member and moderator Pyryle along with the help of our dedicated internal test team.

You can download Red Alert: A Path Beyond v. using the BHP Launcher application, which also provides automated updates and will allow you to patch your game client if you already have a previous version installed, in addition to providing a convenient server browser. It will also make it easy to download Tiberian Sun: Reborn, another project we work on (TSR v. dropped last month).

Full version information is available at our website, but notable changes include:

  • Full removal of Tech Level mechanic
  • Allied/Soviet Captains are more powerful
  • Ore Trucks are faster (but weaker)
  • Light Tanks no longer climb hills as well
  • Hinds have been nerfed
  • Flamethrower kamikaze attack nerfed
  • Map purchase option adjustments

Please give it a try and send us your feedback.

Our main website has also been updated thanks to work by Catalyst and One Winged Angel, with an improved server status overview, and convenient links to our sites and services such as our Teamspeak 3 server, Facebook and Twitter accounts, plus an integrated IRC chat app that will allow you to hop on easily without the need to get a dedicated client. Stop by and say hello!

Please note that over the next week, some services may experience some downtime as we migrate to new hardware and continue the upgrade process.

ah yes but what i meant was that on the classic zama map if u go near a allied defense turret it'll continue firing at u evan if u retreat to ur in ya base it needs some sorting out but hey at least u can make them attack bridge so it gets destroyed faster ;)

Ah yes, I forgot about the elevators.

The elevators should be just about gone when version 1.0 appears. The War Factory has already been redesigned without them, as has the Ore Refinery. Unfortunately, I don't think those will be ready to appear in .994, but I could be proven wrong.

All defenses (save the Tesla Coil) will continue firing at you even if there is an object blocking you, such as a rock or even a wall. This is done intentionally, as this allows defenses to attempt to flush you out of a building with splash damage.

Because of this, it is suggested that the Friendly Fire mode be turned OFF as the defenses WILL damage your own buildings this way.

Engineers serve the same purpose as the Engineer in Red alert. They instantly repair the building you use it on. This is particularily useful in saving a building that would otherwise slowly fall if only a Technician were repairing. Engineers also have C4. Two Engineers placing their C4 on the MCT of a building such as a Barracks or War Factory will destroy the building.

And yes, we tested Zama. Myself, drunkill, saberhawk and Dark were all testing it right up to the moment it was released.

"I also agree w/ madkill on the engineers. I never use them because all you do is pay 500 for a one shot repair and a pistol! kinda lame. It should be more like a renegade Hotwire
keep it up"

So when you played Red alert, you never once built an Engineer because all he was good for was repairing a building to full health? :/

"What about elevators?
so many people complain about them.
They are Horrible!!!!
ppl need ramps for quick acces"

Ramps might go back in later on. For now, you'll just have to deal with elevators.

The Engineer is a 500 Credit one-shot unit. He can replenish a building to full health with one shot on the Master Control Terminal. He is more than worth his price. If you want bog standard repairing, use a Technician.

However, i still stick w/ my opinion. Engis should be changed,
