Red Alert: A Path Beyond brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 1996 classic, while integrating content from its expansions Counterstrike and The Aftermath with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3d engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it is FREE?

Report article RSS Feed APB Update - April

Check out several videos showing off the Gamma version of APB in action.

Posted by Category_5_Hurricane on Apr 3rd, 2010

Firstly and most importantly, our official server IP has moved and as a result has a new IP. It is 85.25.143.169, port 1337. The APB-FR server has also changed to 85.25.143.169 port 8866.

Usually, we spend time talking about what we've done or what we are doing, or what is coming up. For the last month or so, rather than talking about it, we've been showing you the results of our work.
This first video shows off the Tesla Coil destruction animation ingame, destroyed by Artillery using their new tracer shots.

Next is a video showing off the Phase's anti-infantry rockets.

In this next video, we shoot for the moon. On the moon.

We also made a video showing general combat during River Raid after Tech Level 2 was hit.

There is more to be seen in our profile, including another video showing off the Gap Generator effect, and an image of the newly modeled Badger Bomber.

Note for Opera users (like me) the videos don't seem to be working properly in this news article. They should work fine if you visit the videos section or use Internet Explorer.

Just popping in to see how my old friend APB is doing! Nice destruction animation! I see you guys are continuing to make progress... I was thinking about getting back into this but every time I download it to try it out it's massively laggy and unplayable and I know it's not a PC problem.. what happened? It doesn't play at all like it used to. =/
