Red Alert: A Path Beyond brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 1996 classic, while integrating content from its expansions Counterstrike and The Aftermath with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3D engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?

I'm sure he setup the credits that way for quick testing purposes, and the negative points is because friendly fire was on and he just killed his own guard to show how that part works.

Description

The point cannot be captured by enemies until the guard is killed. Once he is killed, enemies have 15 seconds to capture the point before another guard spawns. In this case, the guard is a 'bot Captain with increased health and armor. Don't expect to be able to solo him with a Rifle Soldier; he can take a lot of punishment and on top of that he's dead accurate.

Once the guard is killed, like so:

The other team is free to capture the point, at which point their guard will spawn. There is a bit of a downtime between guard spawns; they can only spawn every 15 seconds, so a point might switch back and forth several times before a guard can come in and establish more permanent control.

Holding a point for 30 seconds will give your team 250 points. There are multiple points on the map, and they will be marked with flags or banners. More screenshots will become available as this mode is developed completely and is tested; I basically started this today and am surprised I even got this far.

--If you don't really feel like doing this, or if you're getting dominated on the battlefield, you can still achieve victory via total base destruction of your enemies. Attacking their base will also make it more difficult for them to capture points from you.

Things that are currently up for debate and discussion:

--If one team manages to control all of the points on the map, they will win. This will probably happen, provided I figure out how to do it.
--The point value awarded may change; keep in mind that I am probably going to reduce the amount of points awarded for attacking buildings in this patch because 2 points for every point of damage you deal is a little ridiculous.
--You may gain other awards for holding a point for a certain period of time, like free vehicles or credits.
